Ener-in-Town is a Intelligent Energy Europe project that commenced in January 2006 and lasted for 30 months. It's aims were to establish greater control over energy consumption in Municipal buildings by:

  • Monitoring the energy consumption over the internet
  • Training local personell about energy efficiency actions
  • Implementing Energy saving actions
  • Providing for future roll out of similar projects

 The project partners, their partner municipalities and the buildings being monitored can be found on this site. In addition to this the project results area contains:

  • A free downloadable copy of our 200 page Energy efficienct procurement and building design guide.
  • Case Studies from a variety of buildings in several european countries.
  • Model agreements between municipalities and their external energy management agencies.
  • How each monitoring technochnology was implemented in each country, and which was generally reccomended as the best.
  • Overview of training courses and content.
