Monitoring Systems


Each partner has a different implementation of their monitorig system. This was aimed to try all different systems and to define the best and worst characteristics of each system.

Irish Monitoring system
The Irish system uses a propriatry system called Bureauscope, provided by casey technologies in Co. Kilkenny. Data loggers, various means of communication, a server based database and an analysis tool called esight by Hawksbury Consulting. It is available online from:

Portuguese Monitoring system (IST)
The Portuguese monitoring systems are composed of by 3 main components:

1. Equipment for monitoring of energy consumption: Ti's, Imeter with GSM transmission;

2. Communication and auxiliary equipment; sensors, Ipoints transmissions, etc.;

3. Energy management software.

Portuguese Monitoring system (AREAL)
The Portuguese monitoring systems are composed of by 3 main components:

1. Equipment for monitoring of energy consumption: Ti's, Imeter with GSM transmission;

2. Communication and auxiliary equipment; sensors, Ipoints transmissions, etc.;

3. Energy management software.

Italian Monitoring system

The Italian Monitoring systems are composed of by 3 main components:

1: Equipment for monitoring of energy consumption: X3M meter with GSM transmissions module

2: Communication and auxiliary equipment; sensors, Ipoints transmissions, etc.;

3. Energy management software Energy Brain
