INEGA MONITORING SYSTEM
Diesel oil meter (1) convert analogical value to a digital one (pulse) and sends this pulse through a wire into the electricity meter (2). This allows the system to make a relation between the number of pulses received and the litres of diesel oil consumed.
Electricity meter (2) can store all diesel oil pulse-data and electricity data creating a file which can be downloaded into Internet. The data gathered by the electricity meter (2) is transmitted via LAN over the Internet to the Consumption Control and Management Centre, when it is required by the data capture software installed in the INEGA server (MEDCOM PLUS PROGRAM).
In the centre, these data are transformed and uploaded into specific Software (SIGEST PROGRAM). This Software (resident in the Centre's Server) is used for data analysis and for the creation of diagrams and consumption profiles.
This information allows detecting malfunction in energy consumption procedures or behavioural energy wasting. Soft energy saving measures will be implemented and results will be tested using above-mentioned Software. In this sense, the scheme makes possible to implements energy saving measures and evaluate almost in real time results given by measures implemented. In the project, the electricity meter (2) is installed in series with the meter of the power supply company. This means that the metering for the ENERinTOWN project (electricity and diesel oil) is separate to the metering for invoicing purposes.
