Kedainiai district is located in the centre of Lithuania. District area is 1677 sq km. Population is 63.5 thousands. The district has 11 smaller units called seniunijos. The administrative centre is settled in Kedainiai (population 32 thousands), located at the distance of 55 km from Kaunas city.
There are more than 200 culture and historical monuments in the district.
