North Tipperary County Council serves the people of North Tipperary with the headquarters located in the Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh and area offices in Borrisokane, Newport, Thurles and Roscrea.

North Tipperary has a population in excess of 60,000 and is experiencing substantial residential growth. The central location of the County, the development of a number of thriving towns and proximity to a number of cities and a vast range of amenities make it a very attractive place to live and work in or to visit.  North Tipperary is a modern, thriving County which boasts a beautiful, unspoilt countryside, rich in tradition, culture and heritage. 


South Tipperary County Council

South Tipperary County Council  serves 79,000 people in the south of the county of Tipperary. It's headquarters is located in the town of Clonmel. It's area offices are located in Tipperary, Cashel, Cahir and Carrick on Suir. The functions and services of the council include housing and social development, road, transportation and water services, development incentives and controls, environmental protection, recreation and amenity and corporate affairs and cultural development

Tipperary is a town in the south-west of County Tipperary with a population of c.5,000 within the urban environs. It's name comes from the Irish: Tiobraid Árann or the Well of Arra.


Nenagh Town Council

Nenagh is the largest town in North Tipperary, with a population in 2006 of 7,424. It lies on the Nenagh River, which empties into Lough Derg at Dromineer, 9 km to the north-west, a popular centre for sailing and other water sports. Originally a market town Nenagh; its full name in Irish, An tAonach) , means "Ormonde (East Munster) Fair" Nenagh is today a busy commercial town.
