Main Energy Consuming Equipment

Mullenbawn has two large water pumps that operate at a pumping efficiency of 60%. There is a duty pump and a standby pump as the site runs 24/7.

Cost and Energy Savng Actions

1. Installation of a varible speed drive (completed in July 2007)

  • The powerfactor of the site was very low inccuring approx 800 euro of wattless charges per annum. Installation.
  • The pumps were running slghtly higher volume than required, which is now controllable.
